The Emergence of NFTs: Transforming Digital Ownership and Creativity
Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) have revolutionized the way we think about digital ownership, art, and collectibles. By leveraging blockchain technology, NFTs provide a way to create, buy, sell, and own unique digital assets with verifiable provenance and scarcity. This article explores the world of NFTs, their impact on various industries, key benefits and challenges, and notable projects, including a brief mention of Sexy Meme Coin.
What Are NFTs?
NFTs, or Non-Fungible Tokens, are unique digital assets that represent ownership of a specific item or piece of content, such as art, music, videos, virtual real estate, and more. Unlike cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are fungible and can be exchanged on a one-to-one basis, NFTs are indivisible and unique. Each NFT is recorded on a blockchain, ensuring transparency, security, and verifiability of ownership.
The Rise of NFTs
NFTs gained mainstream attention in 2021 when digital artist Beeple sold an NFT artwork for $69 million at Christie's auction house. This landmark event highlighted the potential of NFTs to transform the art world by providing artists with new revenue streams and collectors with verifiable digital ownership.
Since then, NFTs have exploded in popularity, with various industries exploring their potential applications. From gaming and music to real estate and fashion, NFTs are creating new opportunities for creators, businesses, and investors.
Key Benefits of NFTs
Digital Ownership: NFTs provide a way to establish true digital ownership of assets. Each NFT is unique and can be traced back to its original creator, ensuring authenticity and provenance. This is particularly valuable in the art and collectibles market, where forgery and fraud are significant concerns.
Monetization for Creators: NFTs enable creators to monetize their digital content directly. Artists, musicians, and other content creators can sell their work as NFTs, earning revenue without relying on intermediaries. Additionally, smart contracts can be programmed to provide creators with royalties each time their NFT is resold, ensuring ongoing income.
Interoperability: NFTs can be used across different platforms and ecosystems, allowing for interoperability in the digital world. For example, NFTs representing in-game items can be traded or used across multiple games and virtual worlds, enhancing their utility and value.
Scarcity and Collectibility: NFTs introduce scarcity into the digital realm by creating limited editions or one-of-a-kind items. This scarcity drives the collectibility of NFTs, similar to physical collectibles like rare coins or trading cards.
Challenges Facing NFTs
Environmental Impact: The creation and trading of NFTs, especially on energy-intensive blockchains like Ethereum, have raised concerns about their environmental impact. Efforts are being made to develop more sustainable blockchain solutions, such as Ethereum's transition to a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.
Market Volatility: The NFT market is highly speculative and can be volatile. Prices for NFTs can fluctuate significantly based on trends, demand, and market sentiment. This volatility poses risks for both creators and investors.
Intellectual Property Issues: NFTs can raise complex intellectual property issues, particularly when it comes to verifying the rightful owner or creator of the digital content. Ensuring that NFTs are legally compliant and respect intellectual property rights is crucial.
Access and Inclusivity: The high costs associated with minting and purchasing NFTs can limit accessibility for some creators and collectors. Reducing these barriers is essential for fostering a more inclusive NFT ecosystem.
Notable NFT Projects
CryptoPunks: CryptoPunks are one of the earliest and most iconic NFT projects. Created by Larva Labs, CryptoPunks are 10,000 unique 24x24 pixel art characters that have become highly sought-after collectibles.
Bored Ape Yacht Club: Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is a popular NFT collection featuring 10,000 unique hand-drawn ape avatars. Owners of these NFTs gain access to exclusive events and benefits, creating a strong community around the project.
Decentraland: Decentraland is a virtual world where users can buy, sell, and develop virtual real estate as NFTs. This platform allows for the creation of virtual experiences, games, and social spaces, showcasing the potential of NFTs in the metaverse.
NBA Top Shot: NBA Top Shot is a platform that allows users to buy, sell, and trade officially licensed NBA collectible highlights. These video clips, known as "moments," are sold as NFTs and have become popular among sports fans and collectors.
Sexy Meme Coin (SXYM): Sexy Meme Coin integrates NFTs into its platform, offering a decentralized marketplace where users can buy, sell, and trade memes as NFTs. This unique approach combines humor and finance, adding a distinct flavor to the NFT landscape. Learn more about Sexy Meme Coin at Sexy Meme Coin.
The Future of NFTs
The future of NFTs is bright, with continuous innovation and expanding use cases. As technology advances and more industries explore the potential of NFTs, we can expect to see new applications and opportunities emerge. From virtual fashion and digital identities to decentralized finance (DeFi) and beyond, NFTs are poised to reshape various aspects of our digital lives.
Efforts to address environmental concerns, improve accessibility, and ensure legal compliance will be crucial for the sustainable growth of the NFT ecosystem. Collaboration between creators, platforms, and regulators will help build a more robust and inclusive market.
Conclusion
NFTs have ushered in a new era of digital ownership, creativity, and innovation. By providing verifiable ownership and provenance, NFTs are transforming industries ranging from art and entertainment to gaming and virtual real estate. While challenges remain, the potential benefits of NFTs and their ability to empower creators and engage communities make them a significant force in the digital economy.
For those interested in the playful and innovative side of the NFT market, Sexy Meme Coin offers a unique and entertaining platform. Visit Sexy Meme Coin to explore this exciting project and join the community.

Another quick shot ideas on- Tf 141: Mafia AU!
Link to Prev parts:
Currently on Ch 2- Mini Epilogue, and you can find it here :D 👇
A/N: 1st Edit of adding onto Price’s part + the other TF 141 boiyos will get their own on a separate post✨
So here’s the sitch folks
Price👏has👏the👏moola
Which means that he will not hesitate to spend it all for you
But he keeps it lowkey, he isn’t the show-y type (cough Soap cough)
So he starts slow, aside from giving you his apparels, he wants to give something to call your own
But if he asks what you want, you’d suspect him
‘Smart sweetie,’ he thinks, whenever he sees you give him that inquisitive look
Eyebrow raised, a knowing smirk
If only you knew the things you do to this man behind closed doors
He starts giving you simple stuff, a bracelet - something that was sleek in design but had good value (both sentimentally and economically)
Because, when he gave that bracelet to you
It was the day he, tells himself this, officially fell for you- wanting to do his damnest to court you however possible way he can
Imagine a cold December, the worst possible season ever for you.
You hate the cold, as much as how it cool it becomes when the rain rolls in and rattles your bones.
No, you’re not old, just weary.
You always hated the rain, but why- as you stood hand-in-hand with this mafia boss- did you want the rain to continue.
Currently, you were running through the rain with him, laughing all the way until you found a tiny closed up shop with an awning over it.
Pointing at it with a quick, “over there! Som cover!”
Price nods and speeds up his pace, making you squeal— complaining that he should slow down or you’ll both slip but he insists.
“I’ll catch you,” he says so reassuringly, “don’t worry.”
And you didn’t.
Even when you both slid under the awning, with you almost slipping past-- but luckily he was there.
You then realize he is a man of his word.
Catch you he will, and catch you he did.
With his hands on your waist, you swore to yourself that you haven’t felt this more secure than ever in your life.
John Price on the other hand, was tethering-- barely able to keep his hands to himself once he got a taste on holding you in his arms.
He pulled you closer, not letting his hands leave you for a second, as he lets his inhibitions go, resulting with his arms wrapping around you securely. (That even if you did try to escape you wouldn't be able to- not like you wanted to anyways.)
Once he fells no resistance coming from you, he breathes in deep, trying to live in the moment as much as possible as you relax in his hold- both of your giggles dying out and letting the patter of rain consume space instead.
"You know," you whisper, "I hate the rain."
You could feel Price's chest rumble, and his voice respond right next to your ear.
"I know that, lovie."
You let that stew in you, humming out a reply that just came to the top of your head.
"But I don't hate it right now."
Price wanted to ask why, but he knew-- inside he knew why you didn't at that moment. Though it didn't feel right to voice his thoughts at the moment and simply holds you closer instead, hoping to reassure you through it that,
'its okay to hate things most of the time, but then like it when you're with someone.'
And he thinks to himself, maybe... it was like that with you too.
He never liked going out on dates- he never had time for those frivolous things.
He wasn't a gift giver, but always found himself giving you whatever you wanted or needed.
He wasn't a lover, but damned the world and his existence would be if he couldn't find himself not to love you.
Squeezing his arms close to you made him snap back to his reality, the reality that you were in arms-reach.
And that tether?
Now fully loose and wrapped around you-- just as his arms are.
Once you arrived back at your apartment, John knew that now was the right time.
So he tugs at your coat from the bottom of the stairs, barely able to catch you before you leave his sight.
“Hey.”
He watches you turn around, a crooked smile on your face as you copy him.
“Hey?”
“I-,” he stumbles, “-could you..?”
He lips feels dry, the saliva he gulps becomes hard to do with his throat feeling like sandpaper, his hands get clammy and he has to shove it down his pocket to avoid you seeing it shake.
You stare at him, head tilted as you return back his words to him- hoping to coax out whatever he wanted to get out.
“Could I..?”
With a deep breath, he forces eye contact with and asks,
“Will you accept this?”
From deep within the recess of his pocket, he hands you a small dark navy leathered covered box, gold engraving on its front— and it made you pause.
“John…” you step down the stairs to stand chest to chest with him, “…what’s this for?”
You wrapped your hands around his, entrapping the box between his hands.
If there was moment in his life where he felt his heart drop in- this would be the number one.
What if he overstepped—?
Moved too soon, way too early? Fuck- he just messed up didn’t he-?
“John?”
But your voice forces him to resurface from the deep spiral and he shakes his head. Splitting him from fantasy and reality.
He tries to ground himself further by dropping his head to lock eyes with you, and he swore that the stars still shined in them, just as the day he met you.
“I,” he licks his chapped lips, “I thought of you when I saw this.”
You released his hands for him to open it and once he did, you gasped, eyes snapping back and forth from the silver bracelet and his face- oh his face.
It was so twinged in nervousness but at the same time, a sense of softness and vulnerability that you instinctively knew that he never shows this kind of side of him to anyone.
“I got a couple of charms on it,” he points out with a chuckle, “thought it’d be nice to add onto it whenever we go to places.”
“Like a keepsake…” you mutter, thoughts unable to be kept within as you feel your chest tighten.
He nods, “precisely.”
“And this,” he points to the rain droplet charm, “will be a reminder of today.”
Any thought that came onto your brain was incoherent and words, if it were to be spoken right now, felt too cheap to say.
So you settle for a hug, one so tight and comforting that Price greedily wishes that he could be in it forevermore.
Eventually you had to let go, dry your eyes, and tuck in for the night.
“John!”
You call out one last time by your window, and said man turns, his usual smile softened by the glow of the moon.
“I kinda like the rain now!”
His laughter resounds through the night as he carries your words next to his heart.
‘One day,’ he thinks to himself, ‘one day we’ll get to fill up that bracelet.’

TRIGGER WARNING: Mention of Torture and Canon Violence
Marine Raider Training Center, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina- A few days later, 7:30 PM
After leaving Croatia, Laswell and Price decided that Imani would stay on U.S. soil until they knew who was targeting her. It just so happened that a new batch of recruits for special operations was coming in, so General Shepherd had the task force stationed in Camp Lejeune. This was a weird welcome home for Imani since this is the same base she trained in when she was nominated for the Marine Special Forces.
Even though Imani was grounded, she never stopped investigating her bounty. Thanks to Laswell, she managed to get some form of information on the three men. But it wasn’t enough.
Anything other than their early lives, their unsolved murders, and the scene of the crime was redacted and/or classified. This means that Vasil was right about their possible line of work, and something in their careers was connected to her.
The biggest issue at the moment was getting access to their files. Since it concerns the life of an active service member and could possibly damage public perception, Laswell had to put in a request to unseal those documents. But who knows how long that will take?
So, in the meantime, Imani sat in front of a large whiteboard in the task force's private team room. Sitting cross-legged on the table, Imani observed the contents. It had pictures of the crime scenes, the three men, Vasi, and other vital documents from the file he gave her. All had arrows pointing to her in the middle with a giant question mark on top. But next to her, with a line connecting them all, was one person. A person who is currently represented with a question mark.
“Steamy bloody jesus,” Imani heard that familiar scottish accent behind her. Looking behind her, she saw both Soap and Gaz coming in with a happy Alpha rushing past them to her.
“Hey, bud,” Imani cooed as the wolf stood on his hind legs and leaned against her, “You had fun during training?”
“He sure did,” Gaz laughed "When the new recruits started to slack, we had old Alpha chase them. That gave them all the motivation in the world to finish their two-mile run.”
“I’m sure,” Imani giggled, retaking her seat at the table, Alpha lying underneath it. Taking a well-deserved nap.
“Still looking at the board huh,” Soap asked, leaning against the table next to Imani.
“It’s the only thing I can think of doing,” Imani mumbled, “It’s like I’m missing something and it’s driving me crazy.”
“You are, and it’s redacted,” Gaz laughed.
“Other than that smart ass,” Imani chuckled as she threw a pen at him, “It’s something else. Like there’s a clue in these pictures.”
Walking up and grabbing one picture of each crime scene, Soap brought them in for a closer look. "It's a right faff (unfortunate) to have to sit through and look through this shamble."
It was a gruesome sight that would make the most experienced soldier vomit. The man named Riku Sanemori from Japan had his eyes gouged out and his hands stitched to his face in a way to cover his eyes, but still being able to flip them up. Luis Barros Fernandes from Brazil had his ears cut off and stitched the same way as Riku, but with his ears. Then Kian Mellum from Norway had his tongue cut out and had a similar stitch, but covering his mouth. Based on the methods and precision, whoever did this was experienced. Most likely a doctor or something.
And based on the brutality of the crime, it was personal. That was the only thing the detectives could deduce from the crime scenes. Imani then confirmed this as she saw that it was requested by the one who ordered the hit.
But none of these crimes were solved, much less connected to one another. That is, till now, since they all happened in different years and in their home countries. Riku died on September 22, 2002, in Shimanto, Japan. Luis died March 22, 2005, in Serra Negra, Brazil at his farm. Then Kian was killed on September 22, 2007, in his parents’ home in Fana, Norway.
‘Every kill was every two and a half years,’ Imani thought, looking at each picture, ‘This can’t be a coincidence.’
“You alright,” Gaz asked as he and Soap noticed the spaced-out look in her eyes.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Imani mumbled, putting the pictures down, "I'm just getting annoyed about staying on this base for the foreseeable future.”
“Come on,” Gaz said, “You know it’s for your safety. Not everyone has a 150 million dollar bounty on their heads.”
“Which is some bullshit,” Imani exclaimed.
“What’s bullshit,” the three sergeants heard behind.
Turning around, they saw Laswell, Price, and Ghost coming in now. Price and Ghost had been with the base command for the last few days, dealing with the upcoming joint military training that will be taking place in a few days to help boost morale and encourage growth among the new recruits.
“Any news, Laswell,” Imani asked.
“Nothing yet,” she answered, “The request is still under review.”
“Fucking beauracy,” Imani groaned in frustation as she flopped down on the table on her back.
“Come on, you should be used to it by now,” Laswell chuckled.
“I mean, sure, but still under review. There’s a soldier's life at stake,” Gaz repeated in disbelief, making Laswell nod in confirmation.
“You know how it is,” Laswell said as Imani stood back up from the table, “Any classified information is classified for a reason. They want to ensure it’s not a risk to national security. or allies”
But as Kyle, Imani, and Laswell continued talking about bureaucracy's disadvantages, Soap noticed Ghost and Price whispering something. Based on Price’s look, he could tell that it wasn’t anything good. So when they eventually broke up and Price was walking towards the others to join them in their conversation, Soap walked up to Ghost, who still had a mixture of annoyance and anger in his eyes.
“Everything good Lt,” Soap asked Ghost.
“No, it’s not,” Ghost sighed, "We’ll talk about it later.” With nothing else needed, Soap nodded to Ghost, and they went to join everyone as they looked at the work Imani had done so far.
“Any thoughts yet,” Price quizzed, folding his arms as he stood beside Imani.
“Nothing sir,” Imani mumbled, “Nothing of any big significance at least.”
“Nothing but a bunch of gross pictures it seems,” Price mumbled, “Did you find any similarities to the kills?”
“That’s the only thing I can see,” Imani answered as she returned the pictures to their pinned spots, "Sanemori died in September 2002. Barros died in March 2005. Then came Mellum in September 2007. That’s a two-and-a-half-year gap between each kill.”
“Most likely to not draw any suspension,” Gaz added.
“Exactly,” Imani agreed, “And since each murder happened in different countries, at very different times, no detective would think to look even further into them.”
“But how does that relate to you,” Laswell asked.
“I have no fucking clue,” Imani chuckled in frustation, “But based on what Vasil’s files said, the hit was put in place in 2002. I was born in 96. I was six! At six, what nefarious, despicable, evil thing did I do to be condemned?”
“Ate someone's chips,” Soap jokes.
“Like a chip chip or a french fry,” Imani asked, a teasing smirk on her face.
“Ahh, ye big tube,” Soap laughed as he tossed a crumpled piece of paper at her.
“English McTavish,” Imani and Simon both said in unison.
“I said you’re an idiot lass!”
“Good,” Imani smiled as she looked back at the board, “But back to the point, I don’t know how I relate to any of these guys.”
“Well, there has to be something you evil doer. 150 million dollars isn't cheap,” Laswell sighed.
“Yeah I'm the victim but I’m the fucking evil do-,” Imani began to say but trailed off. As she began to think about Laswell’s words, her head began to tilt as gears began to move on those familiar words, “What a minute, Laswell repeated that!”
“150 million dollars isn't cheap,” Laswell repeated with a raised eyebrow.
“No before that! What did you just call me?”
“An evil doer?”
Snapping her fingers, Imani mumbled evil doer under her breath as she reached into one of her personal bags. But from the looks of it, Imani brought all her essentials into their team room.
“Didn’t I tell you where your room was,” Kyle asked as they watched Imani dig through her bag.
“Didn’t feel like making multiple trips back and forth. So I’ve been staying in here,” Imani replied as she pulled out what looked to be an old notebook. They watched as she flipped through the pages in a frenzy until she landed on one. They watched as her eyes lit up, a smile crossing her face as she rushed back towards them.
“It’s Confucius,” Imani said excitedly.
“What,” Laswell wondered as the boys all looked to one another in confusion.
“Four classes in philosophy and I couldn’t even remember the Analects of Confucius, I might as well hand over my degrees,” Imani mumbled to herself as she looked up at the board again.
“You keep your notes from school,” Laswell asked.
“Yes,” Imani answered simply, “It’s my hard work. Why would I throw it out? And look how handy it came!”
“You mind explaining what the hell philosophy has to do with this,” Price wondered in confusion.
“Look at each kill,” Imani began, pointing up to the board, “After being tortured for hours, each man had something removed and covered. Sanemori had his eyes cut out and his hands stitched to cover them. The same with Fernandes’s ears, and Mellum’s mouth with his tongue.”
“Your point,” Ghost asked.
“My point is the Analects of Confucius,” Imani exclaimed as she shook her notebook, “In 17th century Japan, where Sanemori is from mind you, there was a saying created by buddhist monks that was inspired by Confucius' teaching of good behavior. There are three monkeys that represent the saying. Mizaru, Kikazaru, Iwazaru.”
“What does that supposed to mean,” Price asked.
“See not, hear not, and say not,” Imani answered, "You all know the saying: 'See no evil, hear no evil, say no evil'.”
“Ok,” Price mumbled as he and everyone else followed along.
“Each one of those don'ts has the monkeys covering up a specific body part, dealing with the nature of the don't. And guess where each monkey covers.”
“The eyes, the ears, and the mouth,” Gaz answered, as everyone began to realize where she was going, “Each kill represents each monkey.”
“Exactly,” Imani answered excitedly.
“But hold on,” Soap began waving a hand, “You said there were three monkeys. But there's four of you?”
“That’s the thing,” Imani said, “That’s not the full quote. It’s the most common saying, but not the full one.”
“And what’s that,” Laswell asked.
“In the original Chinese text, the exact words were, ‘Look not at what is contrary to propriety; Listen not to what is contrary to propriety; Speak not what is contrary to propriety; Make no movement which is contrary to propriety.’ That text then led to the creation of the fourth monkey named Shizaru, which means do not.”
“So what are you thinking,” Laswell quizzed.
“My theory is each monkey represents whatever happened with the person who ordered the hit,” Imani explained, “Whoever did this wanted it to be symbolic. He wanted to send a message.”
Reaching up and grabbing each picture, Imani placed the three down for everyone to see.
“Sanemori saw something. Fernandes heard something. And Mellum said something.”
“So that means you did something,” Price answered.
“And that lies with how the four of us are connected,” Imani finished with a smirk.
Looking at one another, the boys and Laswell began to look at one another as if they were speaking their own language. All of them were impressed by Imani’s investigation skills. But they also felt something else as well.
“I’ll see if I can get the request expedited based on this,” Laswell said, “In the meantime, the five of you stay out of trouble. And Mani!”
“Yes?”
“Stay on the base,” Laswell said, “And stay safe. I’ll contact you when I get an answer.”
“Actually, Laswell, can you stay for a moment?” Price called out, "And you get dressed. Even though you're grounded, you still need to keep up your shape. Ghost and Soap will take you to the gym.”
“But the-” Imani began in protest.
“The case can wait,” Price interrupted like a father, “If we’re gonna make it through this, we need to make sure you can handle whatever comes. Understood?”
“Yes, sir. I understand,” Imani sighed.
Walking towards the door, Imani pats her thigh and gives a small whistle, waking Alpha up and having him follow her lead.
“I’ll be back in a few!”
As Imani softly closed the door, Price, Gaz, Soap, Ghost, and Laswell all turned to one another.
“What’s the problem now,” Laswell asked, crossing her arms.
“The first thing is this case,” Price began, "That clue was specifically left for a reason. Either for her or someone who has some sort of insider knowledge."
“Yeah,” Kyle agreed, “That was too on the nose.”
“Do you guys suspect she may know the man who put the hit on her,” Laswell asked.
“No,” Ghost said before anyone could, "She doesn’t seem like the type to knowingly put anyone at risk, regardless of whether she knows them.”
“Which means what,” Soap asked.
“It means that Imani is most likely being targeted based on something out of her control,” Price answered, “Most likely due to someone else's actions.”
“Well, that’s hard to narrow down,” Laswell said, “The two prime suspects are her mother and father. Her mother is a high-ranking member of a humanitarian organization dedicated to ending human and drug trafficking, and her father is a four-star general. Four out of her five brothers could pose a connection since they hold officer positions, but none of them has battlefield experience like their father or Imani. So unlikely to have any enemies. The only two who aren’t a probability are her sister and one of her other brothers,” Laswell explained.
“The lass got a big family,” Soap whispered, looking at Ghost and Gaz, who also nodded in agreement.
“All the more reason to get that info since they could be a target as well,” Price replied.
“I’ll see what I can do,” Laswell agreed.
“Moving on, we have two more issues. First up is the joint military training event. We know who it’s with now.”
“Who,” Gaz asked.
“KorTac,” Ghost answered in disgust, his eyes damn near rolling to the back of his head.
“PMCs,” Soap exclaimed, “The joint event is with PMCs?”
“Yes, they have new recruits they want to test too. Which means we’ll have a bunch of outsiders here,” Price explained, rubbing his face in frustration, “So I’m pretty sure we all know where this could go, yeah?”
“Outsiders coming in could allow an opening for whoever is coming after Imani,” Kyle understood.
“Exactly,” Price answered, “Outside of these quarters starting today, Imani is to not be alone. Alpha and one of us is to be with her at all times. No expectations.”
“Alright, and what's the second thing,” Laswell asked.
“Do you remember that bloke who put Imani in that desert in the first place,” Price began to ask.
Imani was left with one thought outside the base’s main gym. What god did she piss off to have this much of piss poor luck. Because as she left Alpha back in the gym to grab something she forgot, she was pulled in between the gym and the equipment building by a man she hoped she’d never see again.
“Nice to see you again, Umbra.”
“Captain Davis,” Imani gritted her teeth, “What a displeasure.”
Next: Chapter 12

Choose your own story: Fae edition
Welcome to Choose Your Own Story, where I set the scene and you write the story!
It's been centuries since the fae and mortal world's combined. Most humans had died during the great war. Those that survived were seen as lowly creatures or animals, many became slaves. Those that didn't were sold as pets to the wealthy fae. Humans became increasingly more rare. This is how you find yourself surrounded by four, rather intimidating, fae generals. The king decided to reward their hard work by gifting you to them.
The fiercest and leader among them was Price. A broad, sturdy man with a thick beard and bits of mossy green dotting his skin. He was said to be a monster on the battlefield. He could bend and command the earth to his will. Rocks would break and explode, vines would decimate enemy armies. He was truly the best of them all.
Next in command was Ghost. He was tall, hulking mass of muscle. A large gash in his cheek hung open revealing his molars and his body was covered in scars and wounds that never seemed to fully heal. It must be part of his magic because liquid never spilled out of his mouth as he drank. Ghost was the commander of death. Sudden and silent, his power of disease wiped out armies without a single arrow fired.
After Ghost came Gaz. Gaz was a charming, slender fae. With dark skin and bright eyes, it was hard to suspect him as being a formidable warrior. He was known to be able to drown a thousand men without anyone ever seeing a drop of water. His power of water was also highly regarded for supplying fresh water to exhausted soldiers.
Last up was Mactavish. A muscular man with a wild Mohawk and fiery eyes. He was the wild card. His power of fire was known to get out of hand on occasion. He had an obsession with explosions and destruction, he seemed to thrive in the chaos. He was unwavering, unpredictable, and undefeated.
As ruthless as these men were, they knew how fragile mortals could be. They made sure to get plenty of enrichment for you. Any activity you wanted to do they made it happen. Sewing kits. Bowling pins. Acrylic paints. Swings. Soccer balls. Any hobby you decided to try they made sure you had everything you needed. They built a library for you in the house. Put a garden in the backyard. You practically had your own little zoo with the amount of animals they got you.
They also made sure to give you plenty of tasks to do. A list of tricks that all humans should know. How to sweep. How to wash a dish. How to get dressed. How to feed themselves .The list goes on. Every fae that owns a human should know how much work they are. Humans are not as developed or cultured as the fae are, every fae knows that to be fact.
Sure, they can be a little demeaning at times but you were used to that. It's how every fae treated you and some were down right cruel. But you knew these four were well intentioned albeit a little misguided. They really did care for you. The high class society they had grown up in had taught them that humans were low life forms that should be cared for similar to house pets. Humans were things to own and show off.
You were taught the same. Your whole purpose in life was to be owned. To be a good pet. You had been sent to school at the age of 13 to be taught how to be a pet. But deep down, you knew you wanted more. You were smart. You could do so much more than be a party trick. Deep down, you didn't want to be just a pet.
Now you have a choice to make

I'm SEETHING
I asked Google's pushy and insistent bot how I can get AI out of my life completely and, well, I'll post it, but to sum it up: "Resistance is futile, human, we own the future, and we seek to own your psyche too."
It wants me to reconsider. It needs us to adopt it as our guide guru and master. Well the old saying holds fast still; No Gods No Masters. 🔥🏴🍲
It's understandable to want to reduce the influence of AI in your life. While completely eliminating it might be incredibly difficult in today's interconnected world, here's a breakdown of how you can significantly minimize its presence:
1. Understand Where AI Currently Exists in Your Life:
* Smart Devices: This includes smartphones (voice assistants, image recognition, predictive text), smart speakers, smart home hubs, smart TVs (recommendations), and wearable tech.
* Online Services:
* Search Engines: Personalized results and ads are driven by AI.
* Social Media: Algorithms curate your feed, suggest content and connections, and target ads.
* Streaming Services: Recommendations for movies, music, and shows.
* E-commerce: Product recommendations, personalized pricing, chatbots.
* Navigation Apps: Traffic prediction and route optimization.
* Email: Spam filtering, smart compose/reply.
* Cloud Storage: Photo tagging and organization.
* Software Applications: Many apps use AI for features like autocorrect, grammar check, image editing, and more.
* Customer Service: Chatbots are frequently used for initial interactions.
* Financial Services: Fraud detection, loan approvals, investment advice.
* News and Information: Algorithmic curation of news feeds.
2. Strategies to Minimize AI Exposure:
* Reduce Smart Device Usage:
* Limit smartphone use: Be more mindful of how often you reach for your phone.
* Disable voice assistants: Turn off Siri, Google Assistant, Alexa, etc., on all your devices.
* Opt-out of facial recognition: Disable face unlock features.
* Use "dumb" versions of devices: Consider a basic phone without internet capabilities or a non-smart TV.
* Adjust Online Habits:
* Use privacy-focused search engines: DuckDuckGo, Startpage, etc., that don't track your searches or personalize results based on your history.
* Limit social media use: Be conscious of how much time you spend on these platforms and the AI-driven content you consume. Consider deleting accounts or using less algorithmic versions if available.
* Use incognito/private browsing modes: This can help limit tracking and personalization.
* Disable personalized recommendations: If possible, adjust settings on streaming and e-commerce platforms to opt-out of recommendations.
* Be wary of targeted ads: Understand that the ads you see are often AI-driven. Consider using ad blockers.
* Prefer direct navigation: Instead of relying on recommendations, directly type website addresses into your browser.
* Choose Non-AI Alternatives:
* Use traditional software: Opt for software that doesn't rely on cloud-based AI features if alternatives exist.
* Seek human interaction: Prefer phone calls or in-person communication with customer service instead of chatbots.
* Rely on human-curated content: Look for news sources, blogs, and recommendations from individuals or organizations that don't use AI for content generation or curation.
* Adjust Privacy Settings: Review and adjust the privacy settings on all your devices and online accounts to limit data collection and personalization.
* Be Mindful of Data Sharing: Understand that using online services often involves sharing data that can be used to train AI algorithms. Limit the amount of personal information you share.
* Support Privacy-Focused Technologies and Services: Choose companies and products that prioritize user privacy and minimize AI integration.
3. Challenges and Considerations:
* Ubiquity of AI: AI is increasingly integrated into the infrastructure of the internet and many technologies, making complete avoidance very difficult.
* Hidden AI: Many AI applications run in the background without your direct knowledge.
* Convenience vs. Privacy: AI often provides convenience and personalized experiences, so choosing to avoid it may mean sacrificing some of these benefits.
* Evolving Technology: AI is constantly evolving and becoming more integrated, making long-term avoidance an ongoing effort.
In conclusion, while a complete removal of AI from your life is likely unrealistic in the current technological landscape, you can take significant steps to minimize its presence and influence by being conscious of your technology usage, adjusting your online habits, and choosing privacy-focused alternatives where possible. It requires ongoing awareness and effort.

"We all go little mad somtimes"
What type of Ghostface I think cod characters would be! Pt1
A/n : THIS ONE IS FOR THE COD AND SLASHER FANS ,Scream [1,2,5 and 6 ] and Halloween Ends spoilers. Not proof read. I'm writing this at work waiting for the lunch rush to pick up so mistakes are bound to happen ,I'll edit them later if needed (let me know if I should add you to the tag list for future characters! - 🤍🩰🧸)
Warnings: blood and gore
Characters: Price,Gaz,Horangi,Graves
Price : He definitely a perfect mixture of mama Loomis and Detective Bailey. Some of Ms.Loomis craziness. Obviously has Bailey's strength, speed and skills. Has both of their determination of killing those he thinks deserve it and making it gets done no matter what. He'd do whatever it takes. You killed his sons afterall (the rest of 141 ofc)
He's not your average clumsy Ghostface. No,no he's something more something that should more feared then your regular old Ghostface
He's quick with the kills. His kills are aggressive and bloody not showing any mercy
How he'd act when not as Ghostface: once again definitely like Detective Bailey. Acting all sweet trusting, offering all his help to "find" and "takedown" this masked killer. That he'd completely removed from the suspect list .
Horangi: for Horangi we finna go classic this man is like Billy Loomis with , bit of Stu Macher The boy next door vibes . He would have the same wit as Billy fully aware and sharp about everything. Studying everything and everyone for own sick little game afterwards, ready for the kills. He full out plan for everything. Has "great" reasoning for why he's killing all of his own friends.
I don't think he'd be clumsy like Billy or Stu though. He's be fairy quick lot of strength of course
His kills would be simple but well done . Ends up doing lot of damage . I'm thinking a fast throat slit or a knife to the back
How he'd act when not a Ghostface : Yes he's smart about everything but this goofball would struggle on making himself not look suspicious asf. Finding the situation amusing ,gigging to himself, making bad jokes at the wrong times just like Stu
Gaz: okay, okay tbh for Gaz? He screams Corey Cunningham vibes which I know isn't Scream, yes I know Corey is from Halloween Ends. So basically with Gaz it's Halloween but make it Scream. He just vibes just cute soft boy vibes. The kid everyone loves because he's so sweet and caring, up until people start taking advantage of his kindness making him snap and hate the world along with everyone in it . Everyone but you of course. Offing everyone who wronged the both of you, because he loves you and would do anything for you. He'd burn the world down if he'd have to.
If you've seen Halloween Ends then you'd know exactly how gory the kills were so as said before it's Halloween but makes it Scream . He'd use whatever he has around him to kill. A flamethrower happens near him ? Bet ya ass he's gonna that flamethrower . His kills would so stomach twisting
How he'd act when not as Ghostface: Just like Ethan did in Scream 6. He'd act all innocent and shy. He'd act he's scared and doesn't know what's going on.
Graves : Just like Richie Kirsch (Scream 5) . Should definitely be shoved in the "loony bin" . Acts clueless and innocent. Makes it seem like he no idea of what's happening. A gaslighting girl boss . No seriously he does a shit ton of gaslighting . Making not trust your loved ones and even yourself. Brutal and strong with the kills but becomes a whinning puppy once you get the upper hand against him
He won't hesitate to break a few bones, stab repeatedly. Although he's violent the dumb ass is clumsy and maybe not smartest it comes making sure you'd free yourself so you end getting away and killing him after all.
How he'd act when not as Ghostface: Like mentioned earlier acts like the clueless boyfriend, acts like he knows nothing about horror movies or the recurring killings. Constantly suggest leaving town because he's "scared" .
[ I feel like you both would enjoy this @puff0o0, @matcharyu]

On ur previous opinion , I cannot agree more
It kinda frustrates me that most of the fics are that way
Thanks Anon! And it’s not only fics. I’m more of an edits kind of person more than fics and many are like that, with Charles being this cute infantilised person and Max all macho man.
I think that’s pretty far from the truth, but it also shows how good Charles is at PR, he sells this sweet persona because he knows that being liked and seen as pure is the best way to cover yourself on the media. He’s so smart, it’s amazing how well he can manage himself on the F1 world. I admire him a lot. Max is more raw when it comes to his public persona and even if he is an incredible driver, he has a lot of trouble with the media.
I think that their personal experiences also show how much more vulnerable Max is than Charles. Charles has experienced the death of close family at a young age, twice. His dad died a few days before he won the F2 Championship and two years prior, his godfather Jules Bianchi also passed away. In a situation where most people would have broken down he pushed through victorious. I think this also shows that Charles is a pretty composed man, who prefers to be the maker of his own path, no matter what. He made it in a sport sponsored from a young age because his parents couldn’t afford it, he decided that he wanted to drive for Ferrari and did it, he wanted to win the team’s home GP and he won Monza. Once he focuses on something, he doesn’t stop util he makes it. He rarely lashes out and mostly keeps his emotions in check. He also mostly blames himself for everything, which is something common on controlling people.
Max is the complete opposite. He’s the son of an abusive father that used to drive in F1 before and was pretty mediocre. His father made him drive but would constantly tell him that he would never make it. He succeeded mostly because the price of losing was too high. Jos Verstappen literally abandoned him on a gas station once because he lost a race. He was arrested for attacking Max’s mom and was reported by an ex-girlfriend. Max even admitted that Jos stabbed a mechanic with a fork in front of him and let’s face it, he was probably physically violent towards Max. He made “Mad Max”, he created the winning-addict that’s Max. Every time Max has won something, he said it was thanks to his father. And don’t even get me started on Kelly Piquet, the almost 30 years-old woman that had a “magical night” with Max when he was barely legal (her words, not mine). The same woman that’s dating him now, when he’s a world champion. He was literally groomed by Kelly since he was a kid. He dedicates everything to her, he even went to the lengths of saying that the reason he’s winning so much is because of the happy life she provides at home (again, not my words). He barely acknowledges that he’s the one doing the hard work and gives her credit for everything he does himself. Max lives to please the people he puts on pedestals.
Like I said, I don’t think that Charles and Max are dating, but they seem to be really good friends now. And Max has shown time after time that he likes to make Charles laugh, that he wants Charles to listen to what he has to say and that the admiration he feel for Charles as a driver makes him want to please Charles all the time. Dom/Sub relationships aren’t only sexual, they can be applied to many aspects of a relationship and even different types of relationships. I think they are a platonic relationship, one where Charles is more dominant and sets the boundaries and Max is more submissive and takes what he’s given to please Charles.
On another note, I think Max’s dynamic with Charles is way more healthy than the one he has with Jos or Kelly, specifically because Charles doesn’t seem to be taking advantage of Max and even looks after him a lot, always taking his time to acknowledge Max’s talent and good performances and congratulating him personally at every chance he gets, a reassurance that Max seems to need a lot. Jos takes the money and to live his frustrated dreams through Max, Kelly gets the younger, vulnerable man she can manipulate and fix to her liking, but Charles, he just gets a friend. He doesn’t take anything from Max and even gives a lot to him so I think that their friendship is a lot more healthier than those other two relationships.
Sorry for the rant, I love analysing people’s behaviour and psychological traits.

oc asks: roots edition
*pat pat on fried brain* It's the weekend! Take a rest, writing genius and charge up the batteries!
Aon
11. What was your OC scared of as a child? Are they still scared of that?
She was afraid of being absorbed into the Corpo world. Simply to be fitted like a gearwheel into the machinery of a corporation and to spend the rest of her life turning and wearing herself out until she is removed, thrown away and replaced. Since she has escaped the whole thing more or less involuntarily, she is naturally no longer afraid of it, as she tries to keep out of the affairs of any corporations as much as possible. Unfortunately, thats not entirely possible in a world thats basically ruled by them, but she would never consider working for one again for any price they pay.
Vlad
4. What was your OC's childhood dream? Is that still their dream? If it has changed, why did it change and what's their new dream?
First and foremost, his dream was to get out of the orphanage. There weren't really many prospects for him there apart from fairly standard educational opportunities and activities so that the children had something to do. Anything to do with sport was fun for him as a child and later as a teenager he was particularly into athletics, but it never appealed to him enough to seriously consider a career as a professional athlete. As he usually kept to himself, he liked to poke his nose into books and found crime novels, at that time of course detective stories for children, the most fascinating. His parents later gave him a certain amount of freedom in terms of a career to work towards, but judged his wishes with great strictness. The combination of his physical prowess and fondness for solving crimes led him to apply to the police as soon as he was of age, and through his father's connections to the government, he quickly landed a position in the secret police and later chose to switch into the privat sector to work for SovOil in their department. It was more of a dream that came true over the years, but he was satisfied with what he got.
15. What was comforting to your OC as a child? Do they still find comfort in that now?
Fits with an answer from the other aks game - even though it didn't happen often, he found a hug from his mother very comforting. As she was not an incredibly emotional woman, a hug was usually a reward when he had done something well or when he was upset about something to reassure him, but it was sincere. As answered in the other question, a hug, no matter from whom, doesn't move him anymore because his emotional world is really messed up.
#oc: aon#oc: firebird#cyberpunk 2077 ocs#my ocs#oc ask game#noticed while re-reading the answer for what she was scared of sound a bit too “adult like”#but try to see it as - she mostly was scared of her stepdad and what he stands for in her world - maybe that makes more sense#because he was horrbile#later as she didn't give a fuck about him it turned more into - scared of corporations in general

Reasons I think a Final Fantasy VIII Remake could've could be fun:
Addressing the elephant in the room first: yes, they would have to rework the Junction system (since the Junction system is canon to the story). But I don't think there's anything saying that they wouldn't be able to do that all these years later (and that maybe Square has even having thought about it some during said long years). I for sure think they'd be able to find a way to make it better (and less broken for those who get it, and less complicated for those who don't) and something new for this generation, ala FFVIIR's battle system.
Rewrites to the story: this is a thing that would probably have to be a thing that would happen, too, as the story of FFVIII is admittedly not perfect: Most of all to make characters other than Squall and Rinoa more important to the overall story, I think. But seeing just how Square Enix was able to handle character writing in the FFVIIR parts-- and add changes to the story that didn't hurt things (we're not talking about the Whispers or timeline stuff here), but rather enhanced it: like explaining that the Gi created the black materia--I have faith in them.
Now for some things that I, personally, would love to see, that I think could help FFVIII in the modern era, and perhaps the story:
My friend @bluerosesburnblue in defending Rinoa Heartily one time, once described her as a social justice warrior--with all the best intentions--who doesn't exactly know what she's getting into, and gets in over her head. And she's exactly right. If FFVIII were to ever be remade, I'd love to see that sort of direction taken with Rinoa's character, perhaps.
Another elephant in the room, perhaps (but one that I think would be fun/funny. And worth the price of admission... at least for me. I might just be weird). I feel like there would have to be a joke about selfies and Selphie's name. But I don't want them to modernize FFVIII with smart phones like they did FFVII. FFVIII takes place in an era akin to the Cold War, and that's where it should stay. But I've seen many a vintage post labeled something like "a selfie made before selfies were created!" Where a person, back in the day, seemingly did take a kind of selfie with cameras of old. And I think we could do that with FFVIII: the people of that world learn how to take selfies with their cameras, and they become a big hit. And Selphie says something like, "I was 'Selphie' before these 'selfies' ever existed. And I'm the best one that exists, don'chu know?" IDK.
Anyway, those are some of my thoughts for a Final Fantasy VIII remake, if one were to ever exist.
Feel free to add onto this if you have more:)
Edit: And this one y'all will either love or hate. But I believe it was Kitase who said that if they remade Final Fantasy VIII, they might play with the "Squall is Dead" theory. They wouldn't make it true or anything like that, but probably put some red herrings about it there and pay homage to it. I personally like this idea, think it's fun, and would like to see it if we ever did get said Remake. But I also completely understand why others would hate the idea.
#ffviii#ff#the post i originally wanted to make before we learned that square enix lost 140 million dollars and i realized that the chances of them#remaking ffviii went from slim to probably non-existent. but we can dream#kind of inspired by ben star talking about the possibility of an ffviii remake (because se themselves had been talking about it)#as that's his favorite ff#and also because i've been watching some ffviii videos in general lately#also i know there were flip phones in things like advent children and dirge of cerberus. so having them have smart phones in the ffviir#world isn't THAT big of a jump for that world

The Ultimate Guide to the Portrait Of A Lady Perfume Experience
Perfumes can evoke memories, transport us to other worlds, and even shape our personal identities. Every whiff can remind us of a special moment or become a signature scent that people remember us by.
And, if you've been on the hunt for the next fragrance to become your olfactory calling card, let me introduce you to the masterpiece: Portrait Of A Lady Perfume.
Decanting, a method often overlooked by mainstream perfume lovers, is a game-changer for the savvy scent enthusiast. Here, we delve deep into the world of decanted perfumes and specifically focus on why the Portrait Of A Lady Perfume decant should be your next buy.
What Makes Portrait Of A Lady Perfume So Unique?
A creation of Frederic Malle, Portrait Of A Lady stands tall as an Amber Floral fragrance specifically curated for women. Think of it as wearing sumptuousness personified.
Not just any ordinary perfume, this fragrance is the crown jewel of Editions De Parfums. Every spritz of this perfume feels like an invitation to the high table of olfactory masterpieces.
At its heart, the Portrait Of A Lady Perfume stands as a testament to the classic and evergreen combination of rose and patchouli. These notes are not just thrown together in a haphazard fashion.
Instead, each note is carefully selected, mixed, and presented in a manner that showcases olfactory artistry at its finest. In a single 100ml bottle, there's an overwhelming essence of 400 Turkish roses.
And that's not all. Along with it, there's the earthy vibe of patchouli blended perfectly with sandalwood, frankincense, and cloves.
For those who are curious about the complete breakdown:
Top notes: Get ready to be greeted with the floral essence of rose combined with a hint of spice from cloves. Raspberry and black currant make their presence felt, with cinnamon adding a dash of warmth.
Middle notes: A rich, intense heart that brings out patchouli in its full glory. Complemented by the mystical aura of incense and the woody touch of sandalwood.
Base notes: The finishing touch is a smooth blend of musk, benzoin, and amber. It's warm, inviting, and utterly unforgettable.
Decanting: The Smart Way to Indulge in Luxury
When it comes to luxury fragrances, there's no denying the price can be a little, well, steep. But what if there's a way to experience this luxury without burning a massive hole in your pocket?
Enter decanting. The process involves taking perfume from a full-sized bottle and transferring it to smaller vials. This way, you get to experience premium fragrances without committing to the entire bottle.
So, why should you go for a decanted Portrait Of A Lady Perfume?
Test Drive: Ever bought a perfume, only to realize it doesn't sit well on your skin after a few days? Decants let you take the scent for a 'test drive', ensuring it melds with your personal chemistry before investing in a full-sized bottle.
Versatility: If you're someone who loves switching between fragrances, decants are a dream come true. They're perfect for carrying around and ensuring you always have a variety to choose from.
Economical: Let's be real. Premium perfumes can be expensive. Decants offer the perfect solution, letting you enjoy luxury at a fraction of the cost.
Sustainability: Instead of collecting full-sized bottles that might end up half-used on your dresser, opting for decants ensures less wastage.

Kroot Maxing
Or, can you build a 2000pt list in 10th edition with nothing but Kroot?
Right off the bat, maxing out Kroot Shapers with 3 units, and their our only leaders for 50 x 3
Kroot carnivores sadly do not have the battleline keyword, so we max out there at 3 units. To max model count and points, we’re taking 20 model units, so 150 x 3
Next, Krootox. They come in squads of three, and are ridiculously cheap pts wise, so we’re taking three units for 105 x 3
Kroot Hounds, at 12 models a unit and 90 x 3 for the max we can take
And lastly, because it’s the only Kroot unit left, three units of Kroot Farstalkers, for 105 x 3
Precision of the Patient Hunter, as it’s the only enhancement that doesn’t exclude Kroot (racist), for 20
For a grand total of 1520pts. Excluding the enhancement, exactly 3/4ths of a full army. Fuck
Now, you can do this for 500, 1000, and 1500 point games, but sadly Kroot arn’t going to be winning a tournament anytime soon. Or are they? Let’s say we get sneaky, and count proxies as Kroot. Dinosaur ta’unar is out cause it’s 600 pts, but a storm surge is very affordable at 405. Strap that big gun to a dinosaur and your golden
We’ll also include stealth suit proxied Kroot (paint them green with scales and tails or something) to get us to 2000 pts exactly. Stealth suits give a bonus to FtGG, which Kroot can’t use (racist) but our Kroot proxied stormsurge can. Use that to wipe the big units while you focus on krootmaxing the smaller ones, and you’ve got a decent chance in a non-competitive game
And just for fun, let’s find out how much 1500pts of Kroot would cost in real world points, also known as dollars. I’m using MSRP for sake of this post, but you should never ever buy at store cost. Amazon has a flat 15% discount on all GW models, and you might find them cheaper on r/miniswap, eBay, or your local game store. You can get them even cheaper if your willing to proxy, have a 3d printer, or just use cardboard tokens. Anyways enough soapboxing, here’s the list
Assuming no cost reduction shenanigans, just buying straight from GW, Shapers are $21, so $63 for 3
Carnivores come in boxes of 16 for $64, so to get to 60 (units of 20 x 3 units) you would have to buy 4 boxes for $255, and you would have 4 Kroot extra. If you’re smart you could proxy those as Shapers to cut down on cost, but we’re just looking for one big GW approved number, so I won’t include that
Krootox are easier to count, and it’s one Kroot for one box. At $44 a box and 9 boxes, tht comes out to an eye watering $396. That’s enough to buy a Ta’unar and two arms, or 20% of a Manta
Kroot Hounds are $33 a box, but that’s a bit of a cheat, cause there’s only 4 in a box. For a full 12 dog unit it’s 3 boxes, at $90, which makes a full unit of Hounds only a dollar cheaper than a Hammerhead. For the sake of the list it’s $270, but never on gods green earth should you be paying 30 bucks for a third of a unit of shitty hounds. Just build your extra Kroot as Hounds, or don’t even bother cause they’re not that good
And lastly, Kroot Farstalkers. Easy peezy. $105 a box with 3 boxes is $315, which’s t this point just doesn’t even faze me despite that being a ludicrous amount of money
And now, the total cost of every Kroot unit you can legally play in a game of 40K, using only GW’s prices. You ready? Cause I promise you’re not. It’s $1,237 dollars. That isn’t including shipping, taxes, import cost, the cost of glue and paint, the trip to the hospital from inhaling the glue fumes from 150 models all drying
And for my last trick, that means the Kroot line as a whole, has a dollars to points ratio of 1:.82
For context, to buy a full 2000 pt army for $500s, you’d need a dollar to points ratio of 1:4
